Business Development Manager

Topgolf Southeast Asia

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

The Business Development Manager plays a significant role in expanding Topgolf sport and entertainment venues across Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, and The Philippines. Working with the Real Estate Director, you manage the real estate transaction process including sourcing for potential site opportunities, due diligence, legal coordination, financial modelling, presentation, and execution. You work closely with members of the regional as well as in-market teams.

HOW YOU’LL DO IT:

  • Present, manage and track the real estate locations for development, from initiation through to completion
  • Liaise and build relationships with strategic partners on all efforts, including third party brokers, developers, landlords, potential partners, local authorities, construction teams, operation teams and independent research consultants
  • Participate in and assist in the management of site location strategy and population mapping
  • Coordinate with external legal counsel and contract drafting to closure
  • Build a healthy pipeline of sites through active discussion and presentations to developers
  • Work in partnership with design, construction, and operational teams to site fit potential site
  • Manage timelines and demonstrate ownership throughout the transaction process
  • Prepare budgets, financial projection and calculate return on investment analysis

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR / KEY ATTRIBUTES:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably with a concentration in real estate or finance
  • Minimum eight years of experience in real estate transactions with experience in business development, M&A, investment & leasing; experience in retail or hospitality sector will be a plus
  • Strong in Microsoft Excel (financial modelling) and PowerPoint
  • Ability to present and communicate effectively in English
  • Demonstrable track record of real estate development and site identification across Southeast Asia
  • Energetic, resourceful with the ability to take initiative and make informed decisions
  • A team player with a demonstrable ability to work in teams across cultures
  • Proven negotiation skills
  • Be available and willing to travel where required to locations to review and develop Topgolf opportunities
  • Highly numerate, with excellent financial appraisal skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and oral, with the ability to provide clear and concise direction to fellow Team Members
